Ahead of JRL's Programme, Yasin Malik arrested | KNO

Srinagar, January 03 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Yasin Malik was Thursday arrested ahead of the Joint Resistance Leadership proposed programme to lead an assembly at Grand Mosque, Jamia Masjid tomorrow. Sources told KNO that Malik has been detained and shifted to Maisuma police station. JRL, comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Yasin Malik had urged people, specifically living around the Jamia Masjid to not hold Friday prayers in localities but all assemble at the grand mosque. JRL had also urged religious leaders to join the assembly.  The JRL programme comes after ISIS flags were raised at the Jamia Pulpit by some youth.(KNO)
